Flintknapping

Flintknapping is a new passion of mine.  It began in 2009, during a long winter.  I just started by getting some obsidian from a friend and the rest is just histoy.  I taught myself by working on slabs I cut on a tile saw.  I had a little help from guys on the internet and books, but that is about it  Most of the blades and arrowheads I do are still slab material, mostly to cut back on wasted material, also I am still learning the basics of spalling, createing bifaces and then reducing them to blades or heads.  I am still new at this but it is great fun and I get better with every new blade.
